FPL Draft Depot

FPL Draft resources

All in one place, one click away!

This site is your "one-stop shop," for #FPLDraft (#DraftPL; #DPL) resources. We've tried to avoid listing sites that hide most of their information behind a pay wall. Yes, we realize that people need to make a living. However, this site is for the masses, the everyday fantasy manager. But for those who are draft-obsessed, we've added a subscriptions page. Check it out if you're willing to help support the community in exchange for some extra content!

As the game gets more popular, we're hoping that this site will grow, but we'll need the community's help to make sure we've got everything covered. If you know of more resources applicable to the Draft game, please fill out the Contact Us form to make us aware.

When you say "Draft"...

WHAT IS IT?

In Draft Fantasy Premier League, managers join a league with other fantasy managers (usually between 8 and 12). To begin the season, those managers all participate in a draft where they take turns selecting Premier League players for their fantasy teams. Only one manager may "own" each player. From there, you can trade players, drop players from your team, and add available players as the season progresses.

WHY DRAFT INSTEAD OF THE OFFICIAL GAME?

Fantasy Premier League revolves mostly around the "Official Game" (otherwise known as OFPL), which is a salary cap game in where every single manager can, potentially, own any player in the league. On a podcast, which will remain nameless, one of two hosts commented, "We had a similarly low-scoring week this week, Clarence (not his real name), since you and I started basically the same team." While we appreciate the idea that one can play against literally everyone in the OFPL world in this format, we despise the fact that every manager ends up owning the same players. Plus, with the addition of the draft and ability to trade, the Draft game takes on an entirely new level of strategy that is as fun as it is addictive.

HOW DO I GET STARTED?

Get some friends together and start a league on one of the Draft sites below. If you don't have any/enough friends who want to try Draft, head on over to the Twitter Must-Follows page and ask one of the Draft community members to put out the call. We'll get you linked up with a league in no time.

Draft Format Options

There are truly a wide number of options available to managers who want to play FPL Draft. While this makes it a bit more difficult to choose your preferred league host, it means the community is growing and you have possibilities galore.

Fantrax

So, those who are loyal to other FPL Draft sites, forgive us, but our preferred and recommended host site is Fantrax. Why? Well, a platform called Togga was largely regarded as the most complete representation of FPL Draft, largely because its scoring settings were so deliberate and tested meticulously. Well, Togga had to shut its doors. As a result, Fantrax offered to host leagues with the exact same settings as Togga users experienced with Togga. This is my preferred setup, but I want to give you as many options as possible. See below!

Draft Fantasy

Beautiful site and attractive UI from Draft Fantasy Football, now with custom scoring. Their base scoring is much like OFPL. Their app is user-friendly and works well, too.

Real Fantasy Football

Recently revamped and offers a very attractive user experience. Again, their default scoring is much like OFPL, rewarding basic stats without getting too far into the weeds.

Fantasy League

FL's focus is completely on the auction style of the game. You still have a draft. Each player is simply an auction and you have a budget. It's a blast. Scoring is basically OFPL standard.
